Today, Aug 9, 2012, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a voluntary recall of nearly 1.3 million GE Hotpoint, GE and GE Profile, GE Eterna and GE Adora plastic tub dishwashers. An electrical failure in the dishwasher’s heating element can pose a fire hazard. The recalled units were manufactured between March 2006 through July 2006, and November 2006 through April 2008.
