Walmart has agreed to pay various agengies in the state of California $2.1 million for overcharging consumers after having been found to be in violation of a 2008 judgment that required pricing errors to be be resolved at checkout.
In 2005, Walmart was found to have items scanned at the registers with a higher price to what was listed on the shelf. In 2008 a judgment was issued that consumers who were overcharged at the cash register receive $3 off the lowest advertised price or get the item free if priced under $3.
That agreement was to end this November, but due to the new findings, the agreement will continue through November 2013.
So, if you are ever overcharged, make sure to get your $3 off!
