What to do with newspapers after you are finished with them?
 
There are lots of different ways to recycle newspapers. The most common one is to put it with all your other recyclables. But is there a better way? I will list five different ways that news papers can be used.
 

1.) All pet stores and animal shelters and vets love to have donated newspapers! The use them to line the bottom of dog crates and shred them to put in small animal cages.
 
2.) News paper works great for cleaning glass and windows. Mix a half and half solution of water and vinegar in a spray bottle, spray the windows with it and use the news paper like you would paper towels. This only works with the black and white part of the paper. The glossy ad do not work.
 

3.) If you are moving or just need to store something don’t spend money on packing wrap or foam. Shred your papers up and they work great for packing material.
 

4.) Layer it in gardens/flowerbeds. When mixed into soil and compost it helps make rich soil for growing plants.
 

5.) Can be used for arts and crafts. I am not just talking about for covering tables from painting projects either. You can fold newspaper into strips and weave baskets and other decorative items.
